All Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs) are required to register in accordance with the Prevention of Money Laundering (Maintenance of Records) Amendment Rules, 2023. Societies registered for this purpose are treated as NPOs. The registration process requires obtaining a Unique ID from NGO Darpan under NITI Aayog, Govt. of India.   • Registration or renewal of FCRA.
  • Seeking tax exemptions under Section 80-G of the Income Tax Act.
  • Operating a bank account as an NPO.
