Born in the then coastal town and present capital of Andhra pradesh Guntur. Completed KG to PG in Guntur, under Andhra Univrsity. Joined Met branch in Jan 1977 and served till 30 Apr 2003 and took PR due personal reasons. The experience gained in civil later is given below. Settled in Hyderabad. Wife Sita. Son Pradip settled in USA since 2006, married and blessed with a son and daughter. Daughter Tejaswini a Globe troter and works with NGOs on Woman empowerment and International Development issues. Yet to be married.
